Newest project- Teddy Bear x Comoro Island
Last Fall we collected pollen from a Comoro Island Palm (Chrysalidocarpus lanceolatus; Dypsis lanceolata) and froze it

Some of the pollen was defrosted this morning, then poured into a Mason jar and rehydrated in a small Tupperware container with water in the bottom:

After about 30 minutes it was applied to the opening female flowers on our Teddy Bear palm mother tree:

If successful, the resulting hybrid should be a smallish, clustering Teddy Bear Palm with white/red fuzzy crown shaft and green canes!
